ABOUT THE ROLE

The Building Services Unit is undergoing a transformation that will ensure the Unit can deliver a professional and reliable service to Moreland residents.  Our goal is to ensure a safe and secure built environment for our residents.  Under new leadership, we are currently looking for a Building Inspector committed to improving outcomes for our communities, particularly focused on implementing our Swimming Pool and Spa inspection and certification scheme.  Join us with this rewarding opportunity within the Building Services Team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE 

  • Registration as a Building Inspector (Unlimited or Limited)
  • Ability to understand and interpret plans, specifications and other documentation for assessing compliance with the Building Act, Regulations and Building Codes.
  • High level written communication skills to prepare correspondence, Council and management reports and industry submissions
  • Sound investigation skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Current drivers licence
