Coordinator – Financial Operations PRA 15/27

The Position
An exciting and rewarding career opportunity set in an idyllic sea change destination exists for this position with the Shire of Broome Financial Services Department. In this role, the successful applicant will support the Manager and team members with coordination of the Shire’s financial operations functions including accounts payable, receivable and rates.

The person we seek
We are seeking an enthusiastic local government finance leader with a strong customer service focus. The successful applicant should possess extensive experience in administration and supervision of the general financial operational functions in a medium to large WA Local Government Council. A relevant Tertiary Diploma in Accounting/Local Government would be an advantage. It will be critical that the applicant possesses skills to build strong interpersonal relationships across the organisation and communicate and promote the department’s service plan objectives.

What we offer
A cash component of $89,619 – $93,907 per annum is offered depending on your qualifications and experience (this package is inclusive of a Broome and Housing Allowance). Attractive Superannuation benefits (up to 15.5%), five weeks annual leave plus 2 days travel leave (after 12 months of service with a 17.5% leave loading payable on four weeks) and a comprehensive salary sacrifice package is available.
