The City of Stonnington has an exciting permanent full time opportunity for a Business Development Officer to join out Economic Development, Arts & Tourism Unit located in our modern and sustainable office on Glenferrie Road.
In this position, you will implement actions from the recently approved Stonnington Economic Development Strategy 2017-2021 to ensure a sustainable local economy that contributes to the liveability of Stonnington. To achieve this, you will manage all interaction with and administration of the special rated precincts within the municipality, actively drive the economic development function and manage projects to deliver business engagement and growth.
You will have a tertiary qualification in business, planning or community development and relevant experience in a similar role with practical knowledge and an understanding of economic development, business associations, special rates and small business priorities. Additionally, you will have a proven record of building and maintaining collaborative and cooperative internal, business and industry partnerships and dealing with complex issues.
