The City of Stonnington has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Sport and Recreation Officer to join our Community Facilities department located at the historical Malvern Town Hall on Glenferrie Road in Malvern.
This position sits within the Recreation Services portfolio and aims to enhance the health and wellbeing of Stonnington residents by managing opportunities for people to undertake regular physical activity on Council’s sportsgrounds and associated pavilions. In this role, you will foster and maintain strong working relations and networks with a broad range of sporting clubs, community groups and individuals to enhance the community benefit from active sport and recreation opportunities.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in sports or recreation management, community development or an allied health field with demonstrated experience in a recreation services environment. You will also need excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work with a variety of community sport and recreation groups and to prepare reports and external correspondence. Knowledge of the operation of community sport and recreation organisations is essential.
The City of Stonnington has submitted an Enterprise Agreement for approval. Once implemented, the Agreement will result in a new annualised salary for this position of $70,535 - $81,047 per annum + monthly ADO + Superannuation.
