The City of Stonnington has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Statutory Planner to join our Planning and Amenity Division located at our modern and sustainable office on Glenferrie Road in Malvern.
In this position you will be responsible for assessing and processing planning applications and providing professional, accurate and competent advice and information. As a Statutory Planner, you will maintain a consist approach in implementing Council policy, planning scheme controls and relevant Acts and Regulations.
To be successful, you will have a tertiary qualification in Town Planning or a related field and demonstrated experience in a planning environment with knowledge of and the ability to interpret the Planning and Environment Act. Additionally, you will have good communication skills and a cooperative attitude to mediate between applicants and objectors and handle customer enquiries.
