An opportunity exists at the City of Stonnington - one of Melbourne’s most progressive Councils, where you can utilise your strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a cohesive team. Located in our modern and sustainable office on the corner of High Street & Glenferrie Road in Malvern, you’ll be close to public transport and surrounded by an abundance of shops, café’s and restaurants.
As a Customer Service Team Leader you’ll oversee the day-to-day operation of the Service Centre including the coordination of resources and systems, management and monitoring of staffing levels and coordination of leave and rosters, including hands on relief as required. Additionally you’ll be responsible for analysing statistics, monitoring the performance of the unit and identifying areas for improvement, recommending solutions and coordinating monthly team meetings and team building initiatives.
In leading a vital unit of Council, we’re looking for an outstanding induvial with:
- Demonstrated people management expertise with evidence of experience in developing cohesive and effective teams
- Excellent customer service skills with experience in handling complex and sometimes difficult customer situations
- A creative and forward thinking mind with experience in process improvement and innovation
- Effective methods for creating strong relationships both internally and externally and obtaining outcomes at all Council
