About the role:
As the Team Leader Asset Planning you’ll manage the planning of drainage infrastructure, public laneways and lighting and the impact of private development works and utility service renewals. You’ll also assist with Council’s infrastructure asset renewal program, budgeting, management of timelines and compliance of works with relevant policies, procedures and practices. Additionally, you’ll lead and motivate two employees in a small team, providing day to day direction and guidance as well as identifying learning and development opportunities.
About you:
In this key senior engineering position you’ll need:
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and several years relevant experience (or extensive experience in the absence of a formal qualification) with demonstrated Asset Planning & Protection skills and competencies, Drainage Engineering, Public Lighting and Road Management consents
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Detailed knowledge of engineering codes, standards and legislation, Planning and Building legislation, Civil Engineering principles and practices, Flood modelling and Flood management
