We have a full time opportunity in our Business Systems and Technology area for an IT Desktop Support Officer for a 12-month period. As a key member of the IT Support team, you’ll provide a high standard of Level 1 and Level 2 support to all business unit users and assist in the diagnosis and resolution of their technical based problems. Additionally you’ll image desktop PCs to specific SOE requirements and installation of additional hardware components and peripherals, test new hardware, arrange UAT, register and roll out new IT assets and return replaced equipment for decommissioning and create, monitor and troubleshoot virtual machines in AWS platform.
We’re looking for an IT professional with proven experience in desktop and helpdesk support and with remote networking technologies and ideally formal qualifications or certifications in Information Technology and/or Computer Science. Additionally you’ll need well-developed communication skills with the ability to effectively resolve customer user issues, knowledge of Web based technology and extensive knowledge of PC hardware and software including Microsoft Windows, general computing technology and peripherals.
