As the Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for leading and directing a team of motivated Planning Investigation Officers in the delivery of a proactive Planning Compliance service and Planning Investigation Service. Additionally, you’ll establish and maintain the priorities and objectives of the unit, provide expert advice and guidance on relevant acts and legislation and ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a statutory planning environment with strong technical knowledge and application of planning legislation and law combined with law enforcement procedures
- Effective leadership skills
- High level problem solving, investigative and analytical skills with the ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with conflict, complaints and enquiries
- High level of self-motivation to complete complex, broad tasks and projects within agreed limitations and meet deadlines.
This position is permanent part time for 30.4 hours per week with flexibility for hours per day and days per week.
