The City of Stonnington is building a Project Management Office from the ground up and we need an experienced Project Controller who can see the big picture and work across all Council departments to implement project controls that streamline reporting and deliver efficiencies. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in a dynamic local council by developing, implementing and managing project controls for a portfolio of projects that build community and improve people’s quality of life. You will be joining a passionate, friendly and hardworking team that takes pride in their work.
As a Project Controller some of your day to day duties will include:
- Working with Project Managers and other Council Officers
- Developing and continually updating the portfolio program
- Produce project status reports and dashboards
- Reviewing project risks and update forecasts
- Assist with monthly financial reports
- Reporting to Council and the Executive team on project controls
To succeed in this position you will need:
- Experience managing project controls for large, multi-million dollar infrastructure and building portfolios
- Ability to draw insight and analyses from complex contractor schedules and finance reporting
- Strong understanding of risk management principles including risk identification, management and control effectiveness
- Ability to liaise and gain cooperation and assistance from work/project stakeholders, other employees and members of the public
