We are using a Traineeship Network Provider called MEGT to find us motivated career starters that are looking to commence a 12 month Traineeship (Certificate III in Business) and kick start their careers in Office Administration at the City of Stonnington.

About the role:
As a Business Support Officer for the People Department (Human Resources), you will gain practical on the job experience, whilst receiving extensive training (and a certificate III) in Business.
The People Department works across Council to; attract and retain the best talent, to transform Council’s organisational culture so we are a safe, inclusive and high performing organisation and to support Council create value through effective risk management.
This position will support the People Department in the delivery of human resource and organisation development services. This is a generalist administrative position and will be exposed to a number of areas including Recruitment, Learning and Development, Induction, Payroll and other HR services.
Some of your day-to-day duties will include:
• Customer Service – answering phones & managing the People Department inbox and email enquiries
• Meeting management – arranging meetings and taking minutes as required
• Accounts administration support - processing invoices and creating purchase orders
• Processing Learning and Development forms such as educational assistance forms, staff development plans, probation forms
• Recruitment administration tasks –drafting, issuing and processing contracts of employment and new starter documentation, processing resignations
• General administration tasks – drafting letters, records management, running reports, stationary ordering
