Chair – Audit and Risk Committee

The City of Stonnington is seeking expressions of Interest from people with the appropriate skills and experience for the position of Independent external Chair of the Council's Audit & Risk Committee.
The Audit & Risk Committee is established under the Local Government Act 2020 and operates in accordance with its charter and relevant legislation. There are three independent members of the Committee including the chair.
The Committee meetings are scheduled quarterly, and may meet more frequently for specific purposes.
The Independent Chair will have the appropriate expertise and background that can add value and expand the skill base of the Committee. Relevant experience in finance, governance, asset management, project management, organisational design and risk management will be well regarded. The Appointee will bring qualities of leadership, guidance and independence to the role that will openly and effectively involve other members and the wider organisation in the Committee's activities.
An annual stipend of $10,300 will be paid to the Chair.
