Job Description

  • Developing and ongoing review of the Road Management Plan
  • Determine current and future service level requirements for road infrastructure assets and develop strategies
  • Review, develop and continually improve Council’s Road Asset Management Plan (AMP)
  • Identify potential investment opportunities for road infrastructure assets and make recommendations
  • Develop optimised and data-driven maintenance and renewal strategies to improve road infrastructure asset performance
  • Prepare reports and briefings for the consideration.

This is a temporary full time position for approximately 10-12 months.  

Desired Skills and Experience

To succeed in this position you will need:

  • Experience in the management of road infrastructure assets, preferably within a local government environment
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies, strategies and frameworks
  • Tertiary qualification related to Civil Engineering, Road Infrastructure Management, Project Management or similar
  • Sound understanding of asset management principles and how they relate to a Local Government regulatory framework, including LGA2020 and NAMAF
  • Familiarity or experience with ISO55001 requirements would be highly regarded
