About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader, Parks Development within Council’s City Transport and Presentation Directorate, you will work with a team of Landscape Architects and Project Managers in providing landscape architectural design services for the planning, design and development of high quality, vibrant and viable public open space and landscape features in the growth and developed areas of the municipality. 

It is expected that the range of activities in which this position will be involved will include the planning, design and delivery of public open space projects.  It will also include the preparation and delivery of landscape master plans and detail design packages from inception through to endorsement or delivery. 

About you

You will ideally hold a formal qualification in Landscape Architecture related discipline and have at least 7 years’ experience working in a similar role in either a Local Government of Community context.  You will have high level skills in interacting and negotiating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and community groups, as well as having a good understanding of community infrastructure planning and project delivery processes.
