The Position:

Is to assist the delivery of Council's Civil Design Program and provide detailed investigations, design, drafting, cost estimating and specifications for Council's civil engineering infrastructure.

This includes production of construction drawings and associated documentation to enable efficient planning and delivery of infrastructure to the community. All such works to be designed to relevant design standards, best practice and in accordance with Council's Quality Assurance system.

Remuneration:

• $73,861 to $79,895 per annum (Plus Superannuation)
• Up to 12% Council Superannuation Contribution (Local Government Conditions apply to superannuation)
• 3 weekly Rostered days off

To be successful you will need:

• Minimum Associate Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) from a Washington Accord accredited body with relevant design experience in municipal engineering.
• Class "C" vehicle licence.
• Construction Industry General Safety Induction White Card.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in design, specification and cost estimation of civil infrastructure within local government or private consultancy.
• Demonstrated high level ability to develop relationships with internal customers & stakeholders.
• Proven substantial experience in civil design and production of drawings within a modern design office.
