We are currently seeking a Project Manager Customers (Fixed Term to 30 June 2018) to join our Water & Waste Department.

 

Primary Objectives of the position:

The Project Manager Customers has the primary objective to deliver a portfolio of actions and initiatives involving direct engagement with external customers in accordance with the Cairns Water Security Strategy (CWSS) and associated Demand Management Strategy (DMS).

The position will seek to influence behavioural change in water use and achieve a sustained reduction in per capita demand in accordance with the Demand Management Strategy (DMS).

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position.
  • Recent and relevant experience in the Australian water industry
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work
  • Practical and applied knowledge of technologies, techniques, guidelines, polices and legislative developments relating to demand management in the Australian and international context
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative in sourcing information and making decisions required to progress assigned tasks
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical information to a range of target audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to build, maintain and improve relationships
  • Demonstrated ability using effective negotiation skills when dealing with clients.
