About the role:

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a high performing, suitability qualified and highly experienced marketing professional to join our team in this key leadership role as our Marketing & Communications Manager. 

Reporting to the General Manager Human Resources & Organisational Change, the purpose of this position is to lead and manage the Marketing & Communications team to deliver effective media, marketing and communication strategies to promote Council’s brand, services and business objectives to both internal and external stakeholders. 

About you: 

To be successful in this role you will require a high level of knowledge and experience in marketing and communications at a senior executive level. You will also be a natural leader who is a creative, innovative thinker and very well versed in all aspects of media, corporate communications, community engagement and event management. You will have the ability to multi-task, work confidently under pressure and manage tight deadlines. 

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be second to none, including your ability use tact, diplomacy whilst building and maintaining strong working relationships with a diverse range of clients. You will also look to bring exiting creative ways to engage, educate our community through clever content and campaigns. A firm understanding of Local Government, the framework under which it operates and issues the industry faces will also be highly regarded.

Applicants must have a tertiary qualification in Marketing and/or Communications or equivalent qualification.
