Cloncurry Shire Council is looking for suitably qualified and motivated persons to join the Executive Leadership Team to assist the Chief Executive Officer and Council deliver quality services to the community while developing and leading multidisciplinary teams of employees for the positions below:

Director Works and Environmental Services

Each position is responsible for the efficient and effective management of their respective directorates and will actively participate as a member of the Executive Management Team to contribute to, implement and deliver the strategic direction of the Cloncurry Shire Council.

About the Shire

Cloncurry, in north west Queensland is approximately 120km east of Mount Isa with well-established industry in transport, mining and pastoral activities.  Council is in a strong position to take advantage of this local economic development opportunity with an overall capital and operating budget of $59 million.

Cloncurry is well-connected to the east coast with direct flights to Townsville and Brisbane.  Residents have access to a wide range of general and specialist health; education (to Grade 12) and family services; including modern sport and recreation facilities.  Cloncurry also hosts a wide range of events and activities to entertain locals, visitors and tourists throughout the year.
