Remuneration: Level 5 - commencing annual salary $80,170 plus superannuation

Role Overview
The Team Leader - Customer Contact position is responsible for managing the daily operation of the Gympie Regional Council Customer Contact Centre by providing strong leadership, supervision and development of the team.

The position is responsible for enabling and encouraging all members of the Customer Contact team to exceed customer expectations and to achieve organisational goals whilst assisting in the building of an outstanding organisation. 

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Formal qualifications or relevant experience in a Customer Contact industry.
• Experience in effectively overseeing the daily operations of a customer focused team to achieve service targets and efficient utilisation of staff and resources including experience in conflict resolution/management.
• Well-developed interpersonal and strong written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate outcomes, engage in active listening, consult with a wide range of people at all levels and foster collaboration.
• Demonstrated experience in people management, including experience in performance management, on-the-job training and positive coaching.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team.

Although not mandatory for the position, it would be advantageous for candidates to have:

• Resource planning experience.
• Understanding and demonstrated experience in Contact Centre analytics
• Local Government Customer Contact Centre experience.
