Human Resources Manager
Package Value of $85,000 - $95,000

Written applications are invited for the position of Human Resources Manager with the Longreach Regional Council, and will be received until 10 July 2015. Late applications may not be accepted.

The Position
The primary role of this position is to manage Human Resource practices within Council whilst providing advice that supports best business practices. The incumbent is responsible for managing workforce planning, recruitment and employment functions, strategies and initiatives to ensure a competent and qualified workforce.

Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant must have an undergraduate qualification in Human Resources, along with extensive experience working in the field, preferably within Local Government. Applicants must also have knowledge and experience in staff attraction and retention to rural communities, along with experience in workforce planning. A strong understanding of, and experience in, developing and nurturing workplace culture is also desirable. The successful applicant will need excellent time management, organisation and planning skills as well as exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Salary and Conditions
This is a contract position, and offers a package value of between $85,000 - $95,000 depending on qualifications and experience. A commute use vehicle, with home garaging, is also available. Superannuation of up to 12% of salary is available upon commencement. Five (5) weeks a year annual leave and fifteen (15) days sick leave apply. Rostered days off do not apply to this position.
