Darebin is a multicultural Council situated in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, with a focus on creating a vibrant and innovative economy including flourishing retail strips that contribute to the fabric of our community.

We are seeking a highly motivated and confident individual to foster the growth and development of the strip shopping centres, delivering activities from master plans and strategies, administering Special Rate Levies, and proactively engage with retailers and assisting with precinct marketing.

To be successful, you will have experience managing a retail business and/or the provision of business development services. Strong marketing and technology skills would be highly valued along with innovative and creative flair. A confident individual with a desire for successful outcomes will be an ideal candidate for this role.

Ideally you will have the following demonstrated skills and attributes:
• Experience working with retail businesses.
• Experience in delivering successful projects, activities or initiatives for retailers.
• Experience with administration, monitoring and renewing of Special Rates Schemes.
• Ability to positively contribute to a team and build rapport quickly
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a broad and diverse stakeholder group.
