We are seeking to recruit an experienced leader to join our close-knit, busy Health & Compliance Department. You will manage a large team of professional Traffic Officers, Local Laws & Animal Management Investigation Officers, School Crossing Supervisors and Business & Performance Administration Officers. The function is a key point of contact for the community and you will further enhance a customer service centered approach in the context of modern regulatory practices.

Your leadership will protect the visual amenity and public safety within the Municipality through education, regulation and enforcement initiatives. You will also contribute to the strategic direction of the Department and Council and make Darebin a leader in the provision of Civic Compliance services.

You will ideally have a degree or diploma in a relevant field, demonstrated knowledge of the tools of enforcement and experience leading teams which has led to organizational change and improvement in performance. You will have excellent communication and writing skills and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
