A wonderful opportunity has become available to join Bundoora Homestead Art Centre in the new role of Collections and Heritage Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing collections management and heritage interpretation and maintaining and conserving the collections.

The Collections and Heritage Officer has responsibility for implementing the Heritage Interpretation Plan including delivering heritage projects, public programs, education activities, and for contributing to the ongoing review and development of the Plan.

The role also manages the collections database which houses information on both the Darebin Art Collection and Public Art Collection, this includes data collection and entry, data updates, administration of loans and other collections processes, maintenance, conservation and responsibility for collection storage.

The successful candidate will also support administration for exhibitions and Front of House duties including customer service, administration, cash handling, supervision of volunteers and support to the café.

It is a requirement of this position to be able to work a flexible roster which includes weekend, weeknight and school holiday hours.
