Darebin City Council is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Statutory Planner with the initiative and ability to work in and foster a cohesive team environment!

You will be responsible for town planning functions and providing clear and prompt advice to the public and Council employees on matters relating to planning and the use and development of land.

Your strong communication and customer service skills will assist you in preparing reports and correspondence to ensure that those affected by proposals for the use, development or protections of land or changes in planning policy or requirements receive appropriate notice and equitable service.


You will possess the following key attributes:
• A detailed knowledge and understanding of planning principles, including understanding of the Victorian urban planning system and related acts.
• Sound analytical and conceptual skills and demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of complex issues concurrently within time constraints.
• Ability to liaise and gain co-operation from counterparts, applicants, elected representatives and the general public on specialist planning matters.
