About the Role
The Operations Systems Engineer will facilitate the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of corporate systems used by Council's City Works Department for management of business activities. This role will also administer the delivery of asset inspections in accordance with Council's Road Management Plan.

  • Drive continuous systems improvement, asset mobility and business automation
  • Analyse data and identify options to adopt best practice outcomes
  • Liaise with users on system-based aspects of works management, maintenance, operations and asset inspections
  • Ensure asset data is recorded and updated accurately to enable the ongoing integrity of Asset Systems
  • Compile and collate data for the maintenance of road, footpath and other infrastructure assets
  • Administer proactive asset inspections ensuring roads, footpaths and other physical infrastructure assets
  • Prepare a variety of reports and designing and development of system reports

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering discipline
  • Experience in the use of asset management systems including compliance with the Road Management Act legislation
  • Knowledge and understadning of road construction, management and maintenance principles, methods, techniques and practices
  • Demonstrated experience in Contract and Contractor management
  • A strong focus on continuous improvement in service delivery
