A fantastic opportunity is available to join one of a busy Local Council as an Animal Management Officer.
You will be responsible for investigating complaints, undertaking inspections, impounding animals, issuing infringements, preparing materials for briefs of evidence, and presenting evidence in court.
As this role is primarily focused around Animal Management, preference will go to experienced AMO officers who have gained a couple of years’ experience working as an animal management officer for council.
As this role sits within the broader local laws team (and there will be occasions when you will have to perform tasks relating to other local laws – although the primary focus will be on Animal related issues), consideration will be given to experienced local laws officer who have a Certificate IV in Animal Handling, and be looking for an opportunity to specialise.
