Full time 3 year fixed term contract
Package range $152,211 - $160,278 inclusive of superannuation, phone allowance, professional development and private use of vehicle.
 

We’re looking for a great communicator, a practical no-nonsense operator who can both manage and inspire a busy team of 24 professional staff responsible for the Statutory Planning, Building and Compliance of development activities within one of the most exciting and fastest growing Local Governments in the State.

Applicants must include a statement addressing the below listed essential selection criteria to be considered:

• Experience in managing the delivery of town planning, building control and/or other regulatory functions.
• Tertiary qualifications relevant to urban and regional planning and development and/or tertiary qualifications in management with significant experience in a planning and development environment.
• Proven capacity to deal with complex planning and development issues.
• Demonstrated experience in managing staff at a management level.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and resolve complex matters.

The successful applicant must also hold a hold a current “C” class driver’s licence.
