We have recently undergone a restructure and have an exciting new position available for an enthusiastic and experienced leader to join our Engineering and Development Services Division in this key leadership role. In this role you will be accountable for managing the building and health services functions ensuring these teams are effectively managed and Council’s statutory obligations are met.

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated leadership and communication skills, be a registered Level 2 Building Surveyor, have qualifications in management and a working knowledge of Building Code of Australia, Public Health Act 2016 (or Health Act 1911), Codes of Practice and other relevant legislation. Skills in report writing, budgeting, developing policies and procedures and scheduling and programming are essential. A thirst for business improvement and high level of IT aptitude in general computer use and electronic management systems is required. Experience applying Local Laws, Town Planning Schemes and Policies, and a working knowledge of Residential Design Codes would be advantageous.

Your commitment to the team will be rewarded with a negotiated salary, circa $100k per annum dependent on experience and qualifications, up to 14% superannuation and restricted private use of a vehicle.
