The Shire of Capel is seeking a strategically focused leader who understands the needs of the community and to lead and communicate a strong vision for the future. The Shire’s Chief Executive Officer is retiring after being an important part of the growth of the Shire, and Council now seeks to appoint a successor who can not only build on past success but also work with Council and the community on its future strategic direction.
Applications are sought from candidates who can demonstrate a strong mix of governance, financial management, communication and risk management skills, and who have a track record of working with business and commerce stakeholders to enable sustainable and mutually beneficial growth and development.

The position is offered through a performance based contract of up to five years. An attractive total reward package is negotiable in accordance with the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal Band 3 ranging from $156,356 - 256,711 per annum.
