We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Planning Officer to join our Planning Services team under the Infrastructure & Development Directorate. The primary responsibility of this role is performing statutory planning processes and assessing planning proposals with a higher level of complexity. In addition you will be responsible for undertaking special projects as workload allows and mentoring Planning Officers.

To be considered for this position, you will have Urban & Regional Planning qualifications, significant previous statutory planning experience at a similar level, comprehensive knowledge of WA town planning legislation and exposure to multidisciplinary environments of local government planning processes, along with strong research, report writing and computer skills.

Your commitment to the team will be rewarded with a negotiated salary circa $80k per annum dependent on experience, up to 14% superannuation and a vehicle with restricted private use (or a vehicle allowance).
