HR Business Partner

My client is seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a high performing team on a contract until 2024.
 
Daily Requirements

  • Providing accurate advice to management and employees on employment conditions under the NSW Local Government Award, other industrial agreements, and organisational policies.
  • Development, implementation and promotion of People and Culture policies and initiatives to ensure all employees and prospective employees are afforded equal access to opportunities and benefits relating to employment, promotion and training.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for Managers and staff in resolving employee/industrial relations issues.
  • Facilitating investigations as required and making recommendations to management on the most appropriate course of action.
  • Coaching managers in appropriate actions and decision-making to assist them in addressing employee performance issues.
  • Preparing letters and reports on behalf of line managers, and senior management as required, across a range of employee/industrial relations matters as well as reporting on general People and Culture issues affecting the organisation.
  • Preparing correspondence for performance and related disciplinary meetings in addition to attending meetings to provide support to line managers.
  • Managing People and Culture projects as delegated by the Manager People and Culture or Senior

Coordinator Employee Relations and Workforce Strategy.

  • Lead and execute talent initiatives such as supporting Managers in the recruitment & selection of staff including provision of advice on key aspects such as advertising and selection techniques as well as sitting on selection panels.
  • Undertake transactional People and Culture processing across all facets of the employee life cycle ensuring effective delivery of our services.
  • Carrying out other duties as required consistent with the skills, training, qualifications, and experience of the incumbent.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on HR business partnering.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships and influencing leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex HR concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
