Conditions of employment are in accordance with the City of Bunbury Employee's 2018 Enterprise Agreement with a level 5/6 salary range of $79, 448 to $86, 340 depending on experience and qualifications.

The role of a Service Design and Improvement Officer for the City of Bunbury is to support staff to reflect on and continuously improve the services we deliver to our community. This people-focused role is responsible for helping our teams, departments and staff to refine, question and constantly evaluate the impact of our work to ensure best results for our community.

With the assistance of the Senior Service Design Officer, you will be required to develop and deliver small group workshops, provide targeted service-planning support and help ensure that our strategic planning aligns with our work ‘on the ground'. In doing this, you will be directly contributing to making the City of Bunbury even better - and making Bunbury an even brighter place to live.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and supporting teams in business planning
  • Working collaboratively to enhance our outcomes-focused culture
  • Helping teams and staff to identify opportunities for further improvement
  • Helping all staff to understand and meaningfully implement our performance framework tools
  • Ensuring our values and positive culture approach underpin all of the work we do
