You are a resilient, innovative Team Leader who is known for their strategic thinking. Your extensive knowledge and experience in climate change and bio-diversity will be highly regarded as you help transform sustainability across one of Australia's most picturesque natural environments.

Drawing upon your demonstrated leadership capability, you will deliver and implement strategies and polices to achieve the objectives of Council's Environmental Pillar Plan. We will look to you to implement and review coastal, environmental and biodiversity strategies, projects and actions, as well as manage stakeholder engagement within Council and the wider community.

What do you need?

• We are looking for a person with demonstrated experience in environmental management issues, specifically related to water, energy, coastal and biodiversity management, conservation land management, ecology of coastal and woodland environments, and plant identification
• Sound understanding of project management principles with experience in managing and delivering projects
• Demonstrated experience working in an environmental management role including climate change management

It would be highly desirable if you have an understanding of local government and Council's organisation structure, policies, functions, systems and activities, however this is not essential.
