We have a unique opportunity for a strategic leader in our Land and Property team.  You will provide strategic leadership and operational management of built assets and land management. This will encompass a broad range of property management including leasing, asset management, maintenance of facilities, and land transactions.  

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing asset plans and works programs for maintenance, renewal and capital works for Council’s property and building portfolio.
  • Reviewing, maintaining and managing contractors.
  • Managing land management activities including acquisition, disposal, community land and various transactions.
  • Managing the leasing and licensing of Council facilities.

Importantly, you will foster and lead a team culture which is customer focused. You'll be enthusiastic about the role to provide community facilities for public wellbeing and have the ability to engage with community groups and stakeholders at all levels.

As a professional with a strong leadership track record and political acumen, you have well developed communication and negotiation skills.

As a leader with a vision, you are capable of analysing departmental performance against objectives and then identifying future trends, options and appropriate responsive strategies.

Your initiative and ability to balance strategy with day to day operational matter and solve complex problems will set you in good stead, as will you knowledge of property management and local government. To be successful you will need a relevant property or land management qualification and a detailed knowledge of relevant legislations relating to land and property management.
