Ranger (12 month Fixed Term contract)

Coffs Harbour City Council is looking for an energetic and professional Ranger to join the Compliance and Regulatory Enforcement Section on a 12 month Fixed Term contract. Reporting to the Compliance Coordinator, this position will provide compliance and enforcement oversight of public and private land use to the benefit of residents and visitors of the city in the most efficient and effective manner in accordance with the intent of relevant Acts, Statutes and Council's polices.

The successful applicants will possess a Certificate lV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in law enforcement or related discipline and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in handling companion animals.

Hours will be spread over seven (7) days, Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster, and there is a requirement to work one weekend each month. An on call/take home vehicle will be provided when on call, stand by or starting or finishing on the job.

What we offer

Starting salary of $64,575.21 (Grade W15R) pa plus a 15% Workplace Agreement Loading + Super. All other conditions of employment will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award 2017.
