Senior Engineering Designer

  • Salary range $80k to $88k + Super + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance with opportunities for progression

Coffs Harbour City Council has been working hard over a number of years to make sure that the organisation is financially sustainable going into the future. This is being addressed in a multi-layered approach, which includes improving efficiencies and reducing operating expenditure costs. We've also been looking at ways that we can maximise our commercial operations through strategies such as strong in-house design capabilities.

The role of Senior Engineering Designer is to

  • Prepare high quality designs, timely construction drawings, and bills of quantities for civil infrastructure works.

  • Deliver drawings, designs, specifications and technical information to meet work schedules and project requirements.

What you will need

  • Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  • Extensive experience in civil engineering design, preferably in a local government context

Additional Requirements

You may be required to undertake pre-employment screening including but not limited to behaviour and skills assessment, medical screening and alcohol & drug testing.
