About the role

This role provides quality strategic expert advice and support in relation to contract management and associated procurement operations across Council. Working closely with the leadership of Financial Planning, you will be responsible for delivering high quality procurement and contract management services to internal and external customers.

The Team Leader Procurement & Contracts oversees Council wide tendering and quotation and ensures compliance with relevant NSW legislation, government procurement frameworks and the Local Government Act (1993) Tender Regulations and Council policies.

We are looking for a highly competent professional with substantial business acumen and proven knowledge and expertise in contract management and procurement.

The successful candidate will have experience, not just managing a team but have the ability to lead, inspire and organise team members.

You will be motivated by the desire to achieve results through continuous improvement and have strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

The ideal candidate will also have tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Contract Management or equivalent as well as strong computer literacy, with demonstrated skills in the MS Office suite.

Salary

Starting package of around $80k inclusive of Super
