Technical Officer Water Efficiency 

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Water Services, the Technical Officer - Water Efficiency will be responsible for administering Council's water efficiency programs. This includes designing and delivering schools and community education and engagement initiatives, promoting efficient behaviours and technologies, and monitoring, reviewing and reporting on community water usage. You will partner with other Councils, peak industry bodies and authorities to ensure a uniform approach is taken with water efficiency programs.

About you

If you have extensive knowledge and experience within the Water efficiency field along with Diploma qualifications in Environmental Engineering or a water industry equivalent qualification and are keen to achieve innovative outcomes for the organisation, this is the opportunity for you.

Your experience with delivering community education across multiple platforms, ranging from public presentations to webpage management will ensure you hit the ground running. Your ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, coupled with a high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and data analysis skills will prove essential to your success in this role.

Salary

Starting salary from $74,366 + superannuation, with an award based salary increase effective July 2022.

All other conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Council's Enterprise Agreement and the NSW Local Government (State) Awards.
