Hume City Council is searching for the right person to fill the role of Business Engagement Officer.

This is a key position within the Economic Development Team with a focus on supporting existing businesses to grow, with a particular emphasis on improving access to new markets.

As the Business Engagement Officer, you will be a key liaison for Hume businesses to support their growth and improve business outcomes.

Key Skills:

• Ability to undertake continuous and systematic industry visits to develop strong relationships with existing businesses in Hume City to support improved business outcomes and in turn enhance opportunities for employment within the region.
• Facilitate relationships between Hume businesses and relevant industry bodies and stakeholders to support businesses to grow and enter new markets.
• Keep up to date with information relevant to economic development and ensure it is shared within the Team as required. This includes actively communicating with the Hume business community regarding programs, funding grants and schemes available to them.
