Youth Development Officer 

Permanent full-time position
Band 5 ($70,027 - $80,120) plus 9.5% Super plus monthly ADO
CBD Fringe Location

Maribyrnong's Youth Services team is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and suitably qualified Youth Development Officer who is passionate about working alongside young people, education providers, community, arts and government organisations to plan, deliver and evaluate programs, activities and events that enhance the health and wellbeing of young people.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and knowledge in:

  • Facilitating youth committees and working alongside young people in the context of Youth Participation and the principles of co-design
  • Planning and delivering large scale music, arts and cultural events/programs/projects
  • Developing strong partnerships with education providers, organisations, businesses, internal departments and government bodies
  • Working within the guidelines of relevant funding bodies (FreeZa)

Tertiary qualifications in Youth Work or related disciplines and experience working in a local government environment will be well regarded.
