This role will primarily be responsible for the operation of our Ian Bartlett Water Purification Plant (IBWPP) in Almurta VIC, which supplies quality drinking water to our Bass Coast and Phillip Island customers. As part of the water and wastewater treatment team in our Assets and Operations department, you will also gain the opportunity to learn the operation of the Corporation's wastewater treatment facilities, recycled water and other ancillary treatment systems.

To be successful in this position you must be able to demonstrate:
Certificate in Water/Wastewater Treatment equivalent to Certificate III in Water Industry Operations with substantial experience;
Thorough understanding of current relevant legislation and regulations;
Proven experience in the supervision of a workforce operating treatment plant facilities; Water testing and sampling;
Sound computer skills; Willingness to be part of a rostered after hours arrangement; Sound written and verbal communication skills;
Demonstrated record of promoting a "Safety" and "Risk Aware" culture.

We are currently seeking applicants interested in either a 6 month temporary contract, or a permanent full-time role.

This position is offered at a base salary range of between $55,000 and $70,000, plus superannuation and plus on-call allowance of approximately $15,000 per annum, commensurate with level of skills and experience.
