Social Policy Officer

Full Time

 

We are seeking a highly self-motivated and creative professional for this full time position to undertake social/community policy and planning activities. The person will have a key role in developing and reviewing strategic policies and plans, reporting on all relevant social, demographic and statistical data, as well as preparing qualitative and quantitative research programs. In addition, the position is responsible for the coordination of a number of community development initiatives e.g. community engagement, affordable housing, gaming etc.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated knowledge of community and social planning issues, theories and their application and well developed skills in statistical and social needs analysis and research methodologies.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional experience is essential.
