Community Development Officer – Health and Wellbeing

Full Time

 

We are seeking a highly self-motivated and creative professional for this position to coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of plans, policies and initiatives to enhance community wellbeing. A key focus of this role is developing and implementing Council’s Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.

 

The person will have a key role in the development and implementing health promotion and community safety strategies, activities and plans across Council and the community. This includes working to strengthen Council’s approach to planning for health and wellbeing, providing data and advice across council as appropriate.

 

The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge of community development principles, health promotion and community safety, and experience in researching, developing and reviewing plans and policies in response to current and emerging health and wellbeing issues.

 

Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional experience is essential.
