We are seeking a strong influencer with an outstanding record of achievement in delivering results, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and executive leadership capabilities.

You will have demonstrable leadership and communication skills, ideally gained in a complex, large-scale organisation, with a proven ability to represent the organisation at the highest levels and the ability to advise and collaborate with an broad stakeholder base.

This role will support the Chief Executive Officer and the Council in the delivery of a number of key priorities including:

  • Provision of specialist expertise and advice on corporate and governance issues
  • Oversight a number of key responsibilities including Council’s complaints management process, legislative obligations relating to governance and elections, Council’s controlled and funded entities, community grants programs and internal communications.
  • Prepare reports for Council consideration in collaboration with senior stakeholders across the organisation, on a wide range of matters.

To be considered for this role it is essential you have strong conceptual, analytical and effective problem-solving skills with proven expertise in the resolution of complex strategic issues over a wide range of topics. Senior local government or government experience is considered highly desirable.
