What you need to know...

  • permanent full time - 70 hours per fortnight
  • salary - $59,879 - $71,406 per annum, plus superannuation
  • location - Grafton
  • the opportunity to 'purchase' leave

About the role

The Community and Industry Engagement team is seeking an innovative, energetic, Media Officer to assist with communication plans, public presentations and to provide support for media releases and interviews. The role contributes to the development and implementation of strategies to raise Council’s profile, to positively influence our image and implement communication strategies in the community. To be successful in the role you will also have experience creating and developing eye catching visual, audio and written content across online platforms, possess great interpersonal skills and attention to detail around grammar and copyrighting.

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Grafton office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
