Band 6 - $84,497 - $92,100 (+ 9.5% super & RDO)

This specialist role provides advice and guidance to Council on energy efficiency, water conservation, resource management, data analysis and sustainable procurement for Council to support implementation of the upcoming Environmentally Sustainable Development Policy. Additionally, you will review Council’s Sustainable Design in Council Facilities strategy, monitor and report on Council’s key sustainability data and provide technical and specialist advice on high impact policy changes and behavioural change programs to deliver on Council's goal of achieving zero net emissions by 2020.

As the successful applicant you will hold a tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental management or other related discipline and relevant experience within the environmental field. You will demonstrate project management capabilities including skills in priority setting, time management and project planning. Additionally, you will have a strong ability to establish effective communication networks both internally and externally, have the initiative and independence to innovate and explore continuous improvement opportunities and be able to work positively and collaboratively with a small team.
