Youth Development Officer (Indigenous Portfolio)

$71,343 pa plus superannuation

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Youth Services unit as a Youth Development Officer to work alongside Aboriginal elders, young people and community to plan, facilitate, implement and evaluate strategic, structured and developmental programs, projects and services.

You will hold a degree qualification in Youth Work, Community Development, Social Work or a related discipline and relevant experience in the generalist Youth Sector or lesser formal qualification and substantial relevant experience in the Youth Sector as well as demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, their families and community.

Your ability to communicate and collaborate with Aboriginal organisations and networks to develop existing partnerships between the Aboriginal community, Council and a range of stakeholders, will allow you to excel in this role.

You will be required to undertake a Police Check as part of the recruitment process.
