Randstad are currently recruiting for a Senior Communications Officer to work with the State Government on a number of infrastructure projects based in the Gold Coast.

This role will suit a candidate who is able to take full ownership of the responsibilities and manage multiple complex projects. Previous Government experience is also highly desirable as well as experience in an infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Implementation of the communication and engagement strategy for the major projects
• Design and develop the engagement strategy for the community
• Proactively identify any risks that may arise and develop mitigation strategies for these
• Work alongside the Senior Communications Advisor to build stakeholder engagement and also develop social media content

Key skills and experience:

• Experience in managing communications in a government setting, or in construction/infrastructure
• Government experience is highly desirable
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
