Environmental Health Officer - Local Council 

We are currently seeking the services of an Environmental Health Officer for a local SA council, based in the Western suburbs of Adelaide.

This opportunity is open to all experience levels; pay grades will reflect experience levels. This is a full time contract role.

You will be responsible for investigations and inspections to access compliance within the Food and Public Health Act and to implement appropriate actions to ensure compliance.

To succeed in this role you will require:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Environmental Health from a recognised University or equivalent; together with appropriate experience in Local Government Environmental Services division.
  • Must be appointed or be eligible for appointment as an authorised officer pursuant to the South Australian Public health Act 2011
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in multi discipline team environment.
  • Class C Driver's Licence.
  • National Police Clearance
