Located in the northern rivers area of NSW, Rous County Council is a special-purpose local government organisation that delivers bulk water and provides flood mitigation and weed biosecurity services.


The position

The position of Delivery Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of Council’s projects, including the completion of the capital works program from construction through to operational handover.


Qualifications and experience

The position requires a bachelor degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering or demonstrated relevant experience together with a minimum 4 years practical experience in delivering large size projects; preferably in the civil construction/building field, including experience in site inspections, investigations and contractor management.

Practical experience in customer service delivery along with experience preparing and reviewing contract documentation, tendering procedures, contract administration and all associated legislation is essential for this role.

The successful applicant will have highly developed project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and a strong understanding of construction estimating methodology and construction industry payment legislation.

Conditions of employment

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award 2017. Salary range $92,575 - $108,290 per annum based on skills and experience plus 3.5% civil liability allowance, 9.5% superannuation and generous working conditions including a 70 hour, nine-day fortnight. A satisfactory health assessment, including drug screening and a criminal background check is a pre-requisite to an offer of employment.
